Across the trust we use Google’s G Suite including Google Classroom. This provides a platform for our online learning provision for our students. We have fully embraced this approach and enhanced our practice through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Subject provision is created to support academic and pastoral study and to keep our students connected and engaged in their learning. Online learning materials include quizzing and recall activities to reactivate prior learning, online lesson materials and activities to introduce new information and support materials located in subject learning libraries to deepen learning and check misconceptions etc. Feedback can be directed through Google Classroom.
We can also provide where necessary access to prearranged online tutorials and live streaming of lessons - something we have developed throughout the pandemic to enhance virtual learning for our shielding and self-isolating students. Our online learning platform also enables us to share praise and connect with their community sharing online art galleries, charity events and access to guest speakers etc.
Our development of our blended online curriculum ensures that students can maintain their learning if they are experiencing shielding, self isolation or local or national lockdowns in response to the pandemic.
